Wikipedia

Supply Chain Council (SCC) is a global nonprofit organization with offices near Houston, Texas whose framework, improvement methodology, training, certification and benchmarking tools help member organizations make dramatic, rapid, and sustainable improvements in supply chain performance.

SCC was formed in 1996. SCC is a trade association with approximately 500 corporate members.

In 2014, SCC merged with the APICS Foundation. APICS per se is a professional society whereby individuals are members. How the twain shall meet has yet to be determined.

The Supply Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR®) 11.0 is a process reference model that has been developed and endorsed by Supply Chain Council as the cross-industry standard diagnostic tool for supply chain management. SCOR enables users to address, improve and communicate supply chain management practices within and between all interested parties. To support SCOR, SCC offers workshops and certifies individuals as SCOR-Professionals.
